moochy moochy

Yesterday I had the day off (big hooray) and decided to mooch my  way through Notting Hill's Westbourne Grove.  I spent the next three hours doing some hard core window shopping followed by a yummy lunch at Tom's diner.

While I was browsing, I came across the unbelievable selection of skull rings at Feathers. Above are just four of my favourite (they had a collection of about ten different skull rings). I particularly love the  Mcqueen skull and flower ring -  a little less intimidating than the others! I've also got a serious crush  on the punk skull ring - I love the way the gothic dark silver is softened by the blue pyramid stones.

Which is your favourite?

cape crazy

Cape: Zara
Jeans: Topshop
Wedges: Zara

I've been "umming" and "arring" over the whole cape craze and have to admit I wasn't quite ready for them until this season. I had a little crush on a couple last season (notably the Reiss indigo bound edge cape which has been reworked for a second season) but always thought they'd swamp me and would work better on a taller person.

... But then I came across this one from  Zara last week which I couldn't refuse! I fell in love with the gold button detailing on the collar - creating two totally different looks when buttoned up or undone. I prefer it done up for a more chic look! I have teamed the cape with my Topshop Kristen jeans and Zara wedges. Throw on and go. Couldn't be easier, not to mention incredibly snuggerly!

What are your thoughts on the cape thang?

knit me simple

Cardigan: H&M
Jeans: All Saints
Top: Sandro

I bought this cardigan from no other than H&M. A perfect addition to my AW wardrobe. Worn with skinny jeans and my lace Sandro top, this simple knit works perfectly for a preppy, "made in chelsea" look. I particularly like the wide but short sleeves and the low double pocketing.

What do you think of this piece?
