my miri.

Parker: Whistles
Belt: Vintage

What an investment. I bought this parker a couple of weeks ago from Whistles. With this incredibly temperamental winter weather (yesterday I was sporting a basic tee and my Ray Bans while today I am wearing a thermal) this parker is a must. Lightweight and waterproof - perfect for those mild yet rainy days. I particularly love the epaulette detailing and zip feature on the neck.

Worn with skinny jeans and wedges this look can easily be dolled up with a touch of accessorizing - here I have clenched the parker at the waist with my vintage black belt for a smarter look. I love pieces like this that can easily be dressed up or down.

What are your thoughts on this new buy?

a touch of

Fur hat: Vintage
Polo neck: Zara
Jeans: All Saints
Boots: H&M

A touch of fur. That's all I need.  Just a touch.

The high street has gone mad for fur this season. Faux fur is everywhere! Just take Topshop - when I was browsing through the Oxford Circus store, I must of come across about ten different fur items ...  faux fur headbands, biker jackets, bags, snoods, beanies, not mentioning  fur faux ankle socks  (I am not joking - check them out here). It really is everywhere.

I am a big fan of the fur trend - I think it can add to an outfit in a number of ways -  it is super feminine and sophisticated  helping create that  "Paris-chic" look we all strive for... IF used correctly. I think it is a major case of less is more.

In the piccies above I am wearing my aunt's vintage fur hat which I found hidden away in her attic. I have teamed the hat with my charcoal grey Zara polo neck, boots and skinny jeans. For me, it is key to keep colour to a minimum when wearing fur. That way it really stands out as a piece in its' own right.

What are your thoughts on fur?

"This is England"

Jacket: Zara
Jumper: Topman
Jeans: Topshop
Boots: H&M

"She's buying men's clothes again?!" I hear you cry...

Yes, yes  I sure am. You have got to take my word for it -  Topman is the way forward!  If you are like me and enjoy an oversized jumper and extra large is not quite doing it for you, you've got to take the plunge and shop menswear. Once you pop, there is no going back. This whole menswear shopping scene has enriched my wardrobe in so many ways!

Here I am wearing my new Topman crew jumper layered over a long length white tee. Worn with skinny jeans, H&M wanabe Dr Martin lace up booties and my Zara lantern coat this look immediately shouts skin head chic. The bright aztec print gives it a light modern today twist and softens the "This is England" look. Had I worn a polo or checked shirt you might have mistaken me for Woody from the four part drama and film. If you haven't already seen This is England, I thoroughly recommend it!

What do you think of this look?
